BMW R1100GS Adventure
HIMORA #9
When BMW Motorrad launched the R1100 GS, it was a milestone. Now almost 30 years later, it is no longer up to date and is hardly noticed by most. One more reason to take care of it and to miss a complete makeover, because it is still excellent at one thing: RIDING and FUN.
The idea: more aggressive lines, more sporty, more masculine, more modern! - And so a rough idea arose in my head of where it could go. Making your own fairing out of carbon sounds like a challenge, we gladly accept it.
And this is how the design came about.
In addition to the visual aspects, there were also a few technical changes to the original. The injection system from an R1150 GS found its way onto the bike, as did the transmission reinforcement. The board electronics have been expanded to include a motogadget mo.Unit Blue, which controls the new buttons on the handlebars and connects all motogadget and Koso lighting equipment.
Not only has the old-school look on the handlebars gone, but configuration via app has also been introduced. A Speed Pro Cobra Exhaust system provides a striking sound, which is not only an absolute eye-catcher, but also gives the GS a great sound. It may not be quite suitable for Tyrolean passports, but it makes the driver smile big and wide.
Befitting a real off-road bike, the R1100 GS is fitted with Heidenau K60 Ranger tires, which give it the traction it needs so that the hand-made crash bars don't have to show their justification too soon. The seat, which is of course also specially manufactured, is perfectly framed by two small Lonerider bags. So you can take a bit of luggage with you for the small day tour and do without the backpack in order to have enough freedom of movement in the terrain.
Reborn to be able to experience many tours and adventures again. - The parts we manufacture and install are available on request.
